Configuring RDS With RDS Express

Follow the instructions below to configure PlayoutONE Monitor to send data to RDS Express.

1. Open Station Settings for the Station you wish to add the Metadata output for.
2. Go to Metadata Outputs and click TCP to add a custom TCP Output
3. Fill in the IP Address and Port as advertised by RDS Express
4. Leave the Return Value blank
5. In the Format box copy and paste the following:

<nowplaying>
<air_time>%%Airtime%%</air_time>
<title>%%Title%%</title>
<artist>%%Artist%%</artist>
<category>%%Category%%</category>
<cart>%%UID%%</cart>
<Album>%%Album%%</Album>
<duration>%%DurationSE%%</duration>
</nowplaying>

6. Click Save
