Quick Keys

Quick keys are sets of buttons that can be used to trigger commands or play pieces of audio

Opening the quick keys window

To open the quick keys window press the Heart icon on the main control bar of PlayoutONE

Quick Key Sets are different pages of quick keys. There are no limits to how many quick keys you can have. 

Adding a Quick key set:

1. Press the Pencil icon to bring up the set settings
2. Press the Add Set button
3. Give the set a name by filling in the Name of this new QuickSet box
4. Specify the number of rows and columns you would like the set to contain
5. Press OK

Removing a Quick key set:

1. Select the set you wish to remove from the dropdown in the top left
2. Press the Pencil icon to bring up the set settings
3. Press the Trash icon

Adding a Quick key:

1. Right-click on a blank quick key you would like to use and choose Edit Key
2. Give the quick key a title by filling in the Title box
3. If you want to play a UID, type the UID of the required cart in the UID box
4. If you want to use a command you can either choose from a pre-defined command, or choose Custom Command to create a new command on the fly
5. If you want to set custom colours for the quick key, select the Use custom colours option
6. Press Save to add your quick key to the set

Tip: Quick keys can have carts drag-and-dropped onto them for a quick way to add a new key.

Editing a Quick key:

1. Right-click on the quick key you would like to edit
2. Press the Edit option
3. After making your changes choose to Save to update your quick key

Removing a Quick key:

1. Right-click on the quick key you would like to remove
2. Press the Delete option
