Snippets

Snippets can be used to save a list of log items that can be easily recalled at a later date. These are very useful for sports logs and also creating a mini log that can be called back using a command.

  2. Right-click on the log and choose Snippets>Save Selected as Snippet
  3. A box will then appear asking you to name your snippet, give it a name and then press Save
  4. If you wish to create a Snippet from new, then choose Snippets>Edit Snippet.
Click the New Snippet icon (between Save and Cross).
Give the Snippet a name and drag in your content fro the Media Finder.
Once finished, click the Save icon.

Inserting a Snippet

  1. Right-click on the log and choose Insert>Snippet
  2. Select the name of the snippet from the list and press Select
  3. You can also call a snippet from your music scheduler by using the command SNIPPET LOAD XXX (XX denotes the Snippet Name)
When calling a Snippet from a command scheduled by your Music Scheduler, you can choose to have the Snippet resolved at the time of log import or when PlayoutONE loads the On-Air hour containing the Snippet.
The latter option is the default, however, to turn on resolving of Snippets when the log is imported, turn on Resolve Snippets for the importer profile that handles your Music Logs. This option can be found under the Other tab
